Missoni again chooses natural materials MILLEFORMA
After the opening of the first flagship shop in Shanghai in November 2021, Missoni arrives in Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan province in south-west China, with a second 185 m2 shop in the Yintai Center In99 shopping centre.
Once again, the natural material Milleforma Cotone is a great protagonist of the store interiors designed by BBA Studio: large walls entirely covered in the white Milleforma Cotone strips alternate harmoniously with other surfaces in metal strips, creating a single continuous backdrop where, thanks to a skillful play of thicknesses, light and shadow, the unmistakable zigzag motif that distinguishes the Missoni style appears.
The Milleforma Cotone material creates a bright and comfortable ambience, highlighting the garments of the Italian fashion house without ever overpowering them. The texture of the Milleforma Cotone material works with light, making the surfaces of the store interior alive and unique.
By choosing Milleforma Cotone, a natural composite material based on cotton linters and clay and with a circular life cycle, Missoni confirms its strong focus on sustainable products, in line with the brand’s principles.
